Founded in March 2002 by designers Christopher Crawford and Angela Deane, Christopher Deane has established itself as one of

New York's most admired young labels, praised by retailers and editors alike for its sophisticated charm and elegant luxury. The

collection is now available at over 250 specialty retailers, as well as select Intermix, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and

Bloomingdales Stores.

For the past five seasons, Christopher Deane has presented its collection as part of New York Fashion Week, including two hig

hly lauded runway shows at Mao Space. The label's Fall 2005 collection was fully sponsored by Revlon and staged at the

cosmetic giant's Manhattan headquarters, with actress Eva Mendes in attendance. "This promising young due has always delivered

flirty party frocks that maintain a certain quirkiness. Fall's versions were charmers, but this season the designers also went that

extra mile for day, infusing their designs with more than a soupcon of French flavor," enthused WWD of that collection. Most

recently, Crawford and Deane worked with Covergirl on their Spring 2006 collection show; a venture that lead to a series of

national commercials for the cosmetics brand, featuring the duo and their clothing.

With a focus on graceful, flattering designs in beautiful fabrications, Christopher Deane has garnered a profusion of recent

press coverage, including covers, feature stories and prominent editorial in W, WWD, Elle, Lucky, Teen Vogue, Surface and more.

Additionally, the duo's designs have graced a number of top models and actresses for red-carpet events, television and editorial

shoots, including Mischa Barton, Paris Hilton, Karolina Kurkova, Hilary Duff, Josie Maran, Mary Louise Parker, Sarah Michelle

Gellar and Today Show's Bobbie Thomas. Their work was also featured in the Holiday 2006 campaign for Rolex.

Crawford, 27, and Deane, 29, met as students at the University of Florida, where he was a triple major in philosophy, sculpture and

sociology and she, a double major in art and writing. Prior to founding the fashion label, Crawford taught in inner-city Los

Angeles as a member of the Teach for America corps; he is also a former model with the prestigious Elite agency. Deane has lived in

London, is a published photographer and has contributed work to the art troupe Hayvend.
